Our Focus
Law
At Barnes and Scott Youth Law Camp, we believe that understanding the law is important for everyone, especially young people. Knowledge of the law is not only empowering, but also helps individuals navigate the complex legal system. By focusing on learning about law, we hope to give our students the tools they need to be successful in their personal and professional lives.
Public Policy
At Barnes and Scott Youth Law Camp, we aim to educate and empower the next generation of leaders to understand and shape public policy. We firmly believe that a citizenry knowledgeable about public policy is essential to a functioning and healthy democracy. Our program is designed to enable young people to explore current public policy debates and cultivate the civic skills necessary to engage in them.
Civics
The importance of civics has never been greater, and we at Barnes and Scott Youth Law Camp are determined to help students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in today’s society. Our comprehensive program covers everything from the importance of voting and understanding how laws are made, to exploring current events that are shaping our world. By teaching students to think critically and communicate effectively, we prepare them to be the next generation of leaders and problem-solvers.
Politics
Barnes and Scott Youth Law Camp seeks to inspire young people to get engaged and informed about politics. Our camp offers a diverse array of activities to foster knowledge, understanding, and engagement in political discourse. Our experienced instructors lead campers through various discussions on topics such as political structures, constitutional law, and contemporary political issues. Our goal is to prepare our campers for a world where political understanding is crucial to being an active, informed, and responsible member of their communities.

As the Founder of Barnes and Scott Youth At Law, I’m proud to lead a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to shaping the leaders of tomorrow. Our mission is to provide a platform for young people to gain the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed in their chosen field.
We offer a wide range of legal and educational programs that are tailored to the needs of each individual and provide an opportunity for them to develop their leadership abilities. Our campers are the future of law and justice, and we strive to empower them to succeed.

As the Co-founder and Executive Director of Barnes and Scott Youth Law Camp, I am passionate about providing leadership and ensuring the success of our mission. Our goal at Barnes and Scott Youth Law Camp is to provide a fun and interactive educational experience for young people interested in law. We want our students to have access to resources and programs that will help them develop their skills and cultivate a love of learning. We believe that everyone has the potential to become a great leader, and we want to help them get there.

Join the Dynamic Barnes and Scott Youth At Law Team at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County on May 10th, 2025, as we fellowship with Corporate Leaders in the legal realm, cultivate the next generation of leaders, and ignite our passion for the legal profession! This conference will feature dynamic workshops with lawyers from a plethora of corporate law specialties across our region, networking opportunities, and an empowering keynote address from a very special guest. Reserve your spot early!
